Honiton Community College Photo Competition
The second Honiton Community College Community Photo Competition was held on 26th January. The subject was ‘Honiton and District - celebrating its people, locations and community’.
Mr Slade said the competition was a huge success with over 40 entries which was narrowed down to a strong finalist field of 23.
The judges:

- Mr M Clements - Governor
- Mr N Dormand - Head of Creative Arts
- Mr C Wright - Honiton Chamber of Commerce
- Mr G Smith - Principal
- Mr B Francis and Mr B Richards - Honiton & District Lions
praised the high quality of work and effort that had gone into the photos. The subject for next year will be ‘Challenge and Endeavour’.
Winner of the 13 and under category was Holly James, who also won the overall winner category.

Winner of the 14 to 18 category was Becky Hooper with this classic picture of East Devon Countryside.
Winner of the over 18 category was Eliza Slade.
Second in the 18 + category was Sharon Pavey.
All winners received a £50 Honiton Photographic voucher donated by Honiton & District Lions. Holly James also received a Panasonic camera donated by Cosmic.
Holly said "I am over the moon - I can't believe that I've won”.
Honiton Community College thanked Cosmic and the Lions for their generous support and also those who made the effort to enter the competition.
