Julie Hawker – Chief Executive

Julie is Chief Executive at COSMIC and has a key role leading the business, its strategic partnerships and planning our future. Her background in both the private sector and public sector have provided an effective background to strategic business management and achieving social impact. She is passionate about ensuring that services are of the highest quality and that social objectives remain high on the agenda - for businesses, other social enterprises, community organisations and individuals alike. Julie has been with COSMIC for 11 years and in that time she has worked in a variety of management and development roles including leading in the launch of major new projects and services. She is a keen follower of ICT and its effect on society, including how we make the most of digital communications, social media and new ways of working to improve organisations. Julie is a major advocate of social enterprise including in her role as Chair of RISE (the regional organisation which supports social enterprises in the South West) and as Social Enterprise Ambassador. Julie has led in the development of COSMIC’s work on leadership development in social enterprises through the Lively and Pioneer projects and remains highly committed to leading the way in making social enterprise the business model for the 21st Century.

Kate Doodson - Business & Operations Manager

Kate is the business and operations manager at Cosmic, is a girl geek at heart having spent 12 years in the IT industry, many of which running her own IT business. Her previous career in Civil Engineering enabled her to work in both the UK and overseas. Kate specialises in Search Engine Marketing and website architecture.

Bridget Meadows – Project Administrator

Bridget comes to Cosmic from a business background and is primarily responsible for the project administration of the Leadership projects.  She is the lynchpin for the two main projects – Lively Leadership and Pioneer -  and coordinates the project content, supports learners as well as organising the workshops and residentials.

Rob French – Technology Manager

Rob is responsible for looking after the hardware, software, networks and servers which keep the company ticking. He is your man if you want to have a domain name registered or email configured and has an extensive knowledge of internet services and software support. Rob also provides technical support both to the company and its clients in a wide range of hardware and software matters. With a keen eye on new developments in the use of technology, Rob plays a key role in looking for new opportunities and enhancement of services which the company has to offer its clients.

Kim Reynolds – Finance and Marketing

Kim joined the COSMIC team in 2003 and looks after the finance and marketing needs of the company. She brings her warm and friendly style into all her dealings with the company’s clients. Kim has a degree in Geography and Countryside Management and a keen interest in environmental sustainability.  Kim has travelled extensively prior to joining the COSMIC team.

Gary Ebsworth – Senior Website Developer

Gary leads the web team in the development and programming of new web solutions for our clients. With a wide range of skills across bespoke and Open Source technologies, Gary is able to support clients in finding the right system for their needs, and is keen to encourage people to consider new ways of engaging online visitors through a whole range of interactive features. Skilled in supporting CMS, e-commerce, multimedia and knowledge-base systems, Gary brings an advanced level of knowledge and experience to all our major web projects.

Pete Goff - Website Coordinator

Pete works closely with the web team in engaging new clients in our service. He is also our resident customer care expert; dealing with all enquiries and providing advice and support to all website clients. He has an enthusiasm for ensuring that all clients get a high quality experience whilst they are with COSMIC. Pete has a degree in Graphic Design:Illustration. He has a key role in marketing and developing new advertising and promotional projects, including the design of the COSMIC logo.

Ben Mayo-Smith - Website Developer

Ben is our website developer and is responsible for design, creation and production of websites from initial client contact through to the final construction and launch. Ben has a degree in Graphic Design and many years of experience in website production within the company having been on the team since 1998. He has been responsible for the production of websites for businesses and organisations locally, regionally and nationally and provides ongoing support to our website clients.
